SLS PA: Successful Return to In-Person Book Chat!

EAS
The 10th Annual PA Book Chat was a lovely evening of dinner, conversation and literary delight!

We were transported to 16th century Venice with an Italian-themed dinner served at candlelit tables. Esteemed faculty members Susan Doran and Hunter Martin led an in-depth and thought-provoking discussion of Shakespeare’s Othello. The masterful literary and historical insights they provided helped strengthen our understanding of both this classic play and Shakespeare’s continuing relevance. We are so glad that our parent community not only added so much to the dialogue, but also stepped up to read several scenes. It was a wonderful way to catch a glimpse of the lively discussions in which our kids are able to engage, and great to come together as parents for an in-person event.

Many thanks to our fantastic and creative chairs Jessica Bacher and Katie Harris for all their hard work. We are already looking forward to next year’s Book Chat!
